What do you think about Google Street View "accidentally" collecting unencrypted wireless network data (transmitted packets)? Germany wasn't really happy about the idea www.pcworld.com/article/196423/google_wifi_data_collection_angers_european_officials.html/Do you think it was an accident? Will Germany allow Street View to startup after this? Was it the responsibility of the WI FI owner to encrypt the data? If the data was encrypted, and the sniffer has the ability to determine the encryption type being used - could the data still have been captured? Any thoughts?
