Well, it's about time to think seriously about a new governor for the state of TN. It's looking like Haslam and Wamp are top contenders. Let us know who you think will make a good governor, provide links if possible to articles explaining their position on issue.
Let's put together info on all candidates. I'm hoping that we can elect the person who will do the best job for Tennessee.

Ironically, I received a campaign mailer from Haslam in this afternoon's mail. I've looked at his website - but it sure looks like a lot of posturing. At least with Wamp, I can review his voting record.
I guess I should check out the Democratic candidates, too.

Bredesen is a dem, and a lot of repubs have supported him.
Being a democrat is not as bad as many make it sound. They do not all lean to the extreme left. For starters, McWherter is not Pelosi.
What is it that the democrats do that make you all act like they are demons?

I don't want to be misunderstood. A Politician Smells Bad not matter what party he is affiliated with.

I am voting for Zach Wamp. He was MY Congressman, and a very good one I think. I fell into the category of "Congress needs to be CHANGED!" except MY congressman. He's a good one! LOL

I will regret ever having said this but I actually agree with TIDDYBEAR. I don't like ANY of the corporate whores that are running for TN's governor at all. McWherter's "we love asphalt" was vomitous, Karl "two feathers" ain't got a chance in Hoelle, Ramsey is so far right I can see John Birch running out his mouth, Haaslm is an OIL MAN--and we know how having an OIL MAN in any elected office can destroy burgeoning economies, so that leaves us with a DC slicker who for a fee will forgive adultery--his JOBs message came out long before Haaslm's high dollar pregnant pausing commercials.

You'd think that out of all the parasites wanting to be elected, we could find one that would approach a symbiotic relationship with the taxpayers!

You're confused: He's not "your" Congressman, you're "HIS" taxpayer. You may be right about that, but if somebody asks you they would say, "Who is your Congressman?" not "Who's taxpayer are you?"
